Hello, my name is Sabina. I'm a mom, artist, and the founder of Imagine Stories.

Before becoming a mom, I've been a lot of things, tried many things, and explored many different skill sets and careers. I am by nature a curious person, which has led me to develop a variety of interests and skill sets.

After having a baby and becoming a mom, I no longer have the time to be as exploratory. However, seeing the world anew through my baby's eyes made me want to spark the same curiosity in him that has led me to many successes and interests in my life. 

In addition, being an architect and interior designer by trade, I also no longer had the time to properly run my business, as it required me to be at job sites, meetings, and away from home for way more time than I was willing to give up. The way I looked at it was either I worked really hard to make money for someone else to watch him, or I made a little less money and spent the time being with him myself. 

Since I really wanted to have a hands-on experience with my child, I was not willing to sacrifice the time away or put his developmental milestones in someone else's hands. So, I decided to come up with my own strategy. If I focused on training my child for early independence and a way of thinking that would make me feel more comfortable about how equipped he was for the world, I could feel better about dedicating the time back to myself and my own interests.

I did not want to teach him what to think. I wanted to teach him how to think so that he knew how to process not just the information I was teaching him, but the information the world would go on to teach him for the rest of his life.

I began teaching my baby life skills and lessons to prep his brain for a way of thinking. 

In wanting him to understand life's lessons while still staying curious and not drilled down, I was looking for Creative ways to get the point across. I found very few immersive, lesson-like, curiosity-sparking, and mind-broadening toys and books for young children, especially 0-3. It is psychologically proven that the 0-3 developmental stage of the brain is the most important. During this time, your brain creates the structure and platform onto which it will then layer life observations. Yet we treat it as if it doesn't understand anything.

I first began to use personalized books available on the market where you could upload a picture of the child and get a book depicting him or her. However, these books were all the same style and lacked lessons or developmental benefits, and they did not come with an immersive experience (meaning some kind of toy or kit to practice that lesson on). It was a really great use of AI and a great starting point for me. However, it was not enough, and my curiosity got the best of me.

And so, Imagine Stories was born. I'm glad you're here for the ride.
